Parlé: I heard you got the ladies waiting in line! (Laughs) When I interviewed your boy, V.I.C. awhile back, one of the things he mentioned about you is how oblivious you are to the young women around you, because you are all about your music. He said you were ‘so focused.’ (Laughs) Tell me, what does Soulja Boy look for in a Soulja Girl?
Soulja Boy: Is that right? (Laughs) I am looking for a girl with personality, sex appeal, and a pretty smile. I’m looking for a girl who is smart, and has her own career goals. She wouldn’t be some girl who wants to live off of me.

Parlé:
In this crazy industry what keeps you so grounded?
Soulja Boy: I acknowledge the fact that everything I have can be taken away. I am grateful for what I’ve achieve so far, and without that gratitude my whole career could be gone. There are a lot of rappers whose careers have faded away. I have learned to take one day at a time ‘cause once you fall, you fall, and everyone will know.

Parlé: What advice have you applied to your own career that you can share with someone else who is looking to get their start in the music industry?
Soulja Boy:
You have to be determined to grind it out. I have learned with my career, that there is no right advice on how to go about doing that. So I say, ‘grind it out.’ Like fate, and like chance, just step out on faith, and do it how you do it.
