Lunden De’Leon was living a life that was close to perfect. She had recognition in almost all aspects of the entertainment industry, acting, modeling and music. One could only imagine the glamorous parties and exciting events she attended in Los Angeles. And of course we all know that the world of entertainment heavily lies in both New York and Los Angeles, so you may be surprised with the step Lunden decided to take in her career; she moved back to South Carolina. “Here in South Carolina I’m able to be a big fish in a small pond. When I first started my career setting out to Hollywood, the internet wasn’t popular, but now it allows me to be anywhere in the world. I just landed a publishing deal and I did it online. The internet allows you to have great marketing, and I also can’t forget about the big difference in the price of living here compared to LA.”

Are you running to your laptop to see what the internet can do for your career? Not only did Lunden land a publishing deal with the help of the world wide web, but she also created Palmetto Film Studios; yes, she’s conquered it all. “In August of 2009, I started Palmetto Film Studios and I’ve released five movies so far. I used local actors that were looking for work. My film company differs from my music label because I don’t have one genre of film that I focus on. I’ve made horror, action and underground cult such as one of my latest movies Last of A Dying Breed, which can be found on DVD.”

My suitcase has been packed for weeks with hopes that I’ll book a flight to NY and become that infamous magazine editor, but according to Lunden, anything is possible with a computer and internet connection. What may surprise you is her response to my question that if she had to do it all over again, would she move to Hollywood,” No, I don’t think it’s necessary to move. Things weren’t around when I left. Now with the internet there’s so much you can do. There are castings online, publishing, and you can submit music. You can even create your own fan base with the help of sites such as MySpace, in the comfort of your own home.”

Lunden De’Leon is absolutely right, the web has sparked countless opportunities for us all, the key is knowing where your passion lies and pursuing success to your fullest ability; and that’s exactly what Lunden has done and will continue to do no matter where she resides.

So have you been inspired yet? If not, then you should probably read this article once again; or maybe I should tell you that aside from Lunden’s already busy schedule, she plans to run for council in her county and help her community, “it’s not about fame or money for me, it’s about helping others. I don’t just focus on entertainment, I want to help others’ start their own business. My mother once told me, ‘Use every stumbling block as a stepping stone.’”

If Lunden hasn’t followed her mother’s advice then I just don’t know who has.
