Hope For Whitney Houston

Its been reported that the multi Grammy award winning and legendary vocalist Whitney Houston  may currently be in the studio working on a follow up to her platinum selling album, I Look To You released in 2009.  This concerns me, though the album has done well, the reviews of the I Look To You tour were among some of the worst of an artist working to date. With countless amounts of videos posted on you tube of pitchy notes and worse comments and pictures on social blogs across the web of Houston’s lackluster performance one has to question can this new album regain the shred of music credibility that she once had?
Undeniably Houston was once a force of nature and can still command a standing ovation at any awards ceremony, but as far as vocal ability it’s questionable whether the once powerful mezzo soprano can still perform ballads young songstress’ dream of or will she fizzle and fade away like other legends who’ve lost their touch.
Renowned for having a clear pristine powerful sound affectionately known as “The Voice” rarely do fans know that according to Guinness World Records Whitney is the most awarded female artist of all time holding more than 6 Grammys and 22 American Music Awards.  A title which is not just handed away easily but earned through hard work and perseverance but the question is does she still have that work ethic to turn it all around?  With a list of jokes and comedic imitations attached to her name just as long as her many awards will the Legend continue to bask in her glory and live in denial of her current talents or will she undergo some massive vocal training and become “The Voice” once more? I for one am hopeful.
