Janet Jackson has been flooding timelines this week with the announcement that her new album, her 11th will be released later this year in the Fall. Even more impressive is that the new music will be released by BMG via Jackson’s own record label, Rhythm Nation Records.
The album is her first release since 2008’s Discipline. While that album went Number 1 on the Billboard charts, it was the lowest selling album of Janet’s career. Nonetheless, Ms. Jackson has sold a whooping 160 million records worldwide.
The yet to be titled upcoming album will also be Jackson’s first since marrying her third husband, Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana. Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming release.
Hopefully this upcoming album for Janet Jackson can be another best seller and will keep her on top of the Number 1 on the Billboard charts.
