Rumors Swirl as Tamar Braxton Exits The Real Talk Show
After two successful seasons of being a co-host on the hit daytime talk show, The Real, singer, Tamar Braxton is saying her final goodbyes. However, the reason behind it is still a big question on everyone’s mind. Tamar Braxton exits The Real and we sift through the rumors.
The other day, rumors broke that Braxton had been fired from the talk show due to ‘not reading too well with the audience and being too difficult to deal with’—B. Scott reports. Sources also reported that ‘sales people didn’t find her to be a good fit with the advertisers’. If that is the case, why wait until season two to do so? It doesn’t seem to add up.
Not so fast, though. The plot thickens.
Tamar Braxton took to Instagram with a picture of her and her sister, Toni, indicating that she’d been stabbed in the back by someone.
Although she did not mention The Real, nor did she specifically direct her post to anyone, it is speculated to be linked to the situation.
“I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted—not my man or my sisters…
I put this picture up because this is the embrace I got from my sister and best friend that she ALWAYS gives when she knows I’ve been had.”
Prior to the post, she also tweeted a plethora of laughing emojis—which, of course, left social media with an array of assumptions.
The news was finally confirmed yesterday. But, according to a joint statement released by Braxton and The Real, Braxton’s departure stems from her wanting to focus on her solo career.
“The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its third season. She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
None of her fellow co-hosts have spoken directly on the situation. However, Braxton no longer follows Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, or The Real‘s twitter page. She only follows Tamera Mowry-Housely at least check.
In all honesty, we really would love to see her back for another season, but this break up may be too ugly to ever repair.
As Tamar Braxton exits The Real we wish her good luck on all of her future endeavors! If music is set to be the full time focus, we expect a great follow-up to her Calling All Lovers project, which was released late last year.
