Joe Budden Drops Follow-up Drake Diss Track “Wake”
Taking a page out of Drake’s own book, Joe Budden delivered another hard blow to Drake with his lyrically laced, hard hitting latest diss track “Wake”. The track follows his first reply “Making a Murderer Part 1”, which Drake has yet to acknowledge publicly.
Budden starts “Wake” with a snippet from the character, Kenny Powers delivering a eulogy. Budden goes on to offer his condolences before reminding listeners and the Canadian rapper that , “I waited five days, n*gga where ya’ll at?”
The jabs and punchlines are sprinkled throughout the track and Budden spends little time sidestepping, instead taking a direct approach, forcing the hand of Drake to reply or accept public defeat. For Drizzly his fate is all his own, since he actually started this with his “4 am in Calabasas” diss track.
Budden’starts clear message is “Killing you is expected of me, I don’t win an achievement”
