Missy Elliott Reveals “I’m Better Remix” featuring Lil Kim, Eve & Trina

Missy Elliott comes back with vengeance resurrecting Hip-Hop Queens for her “I’m Better Remix“. It may be a new sound, but it’s the same creative Missy Elliott, but on the remix, Missy is in the shadows as the hype man on the track. The remix comes five months since Missy dropped the surprise single and visual back in January.

The “I’m Better Remix” has three legends that scream women’s empowerment in each verse they spit. The song has new comer Lamb stepping out on production and right into the forefront of the track’s hook.

Lil Kim sets the stage for the first verse bringing that raw and raunchy sound we have come to love from the Brooklyn emcee. Kim delivers her bars using synthesizers and autotune for a rap-sung vibe. The Queen Bee’s bars stirs the pot with lyrics like: “Ya man is a dog he chase my kitty, he say my p*ssy is wetter”. Notorious K.I.M. still had that vulgar flow with infamous quotables.

While Kim rides the beat the song transitions into 305’s finest. Trina swags on the beat showing off why ‘she’s better’, with bars like: “I put the pressure on them and still ain’t turn to diamonds” and “I set the bar and them bitches set trends”. Trina lets it be known nobody is on her level.

Eve closes the song out with the passion that made her a success out of Philly. “I’ve been away I’m so Anti/Winnin in life by landslide”. Eve’s flow outdoes the song with her word play and the way she stays in the pocket of the beat. Lines like “No worries with all these foreigns up in my driveway”, show the Philly native still could deliver the best 8 bars with some cockiness.

Missy Elliott and Lamb have incorporated the talent of the ol’ school with their new sound and this new school beat. As always, we look forward to seeing more from Missy Elliott soon.
