India Arie’s SongVersation: Medicine EP Drops This Week

New music from India Arie is coming sooner than we thought. The Grammy award-winning singer has announced the release of her latest EP, SongVersation: Medicine, set to debut on June 30th. The seven-track EP serves as a follow-up to Arie’s 2013 album, SongVersation.

SongVersation: Medicine was made to be listened to in a quiet time, prayer, meditation, Yoga. My wish is that these songs bring softness, clarity, calm, and inspiration.” Arie expressed.

The first single, “I Am Light” appeared on the official soundtrack Beyond The Light. You may also remember India Arie and Erykah Badu’s infamous 2016 Soul Train Awards performance, in which Arie presented another track from the EP, titled “Breathe“.

Don’t forget to catch India Arie at this year’s Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana! The 41-year-old will be celebrating the release of her new EP and kicking off Essence weekend, this Friday, with a main stage performance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
