There Are Plans for a Whitney Houston Hologram Tour and Posthumous Album
Your long-lost dream of seeing the late Whitney Houston in concert may actually be turned into a reality.
The iconic singer’s estate has “lined up an extensive list of potential projects,” and a hologram tour happens to be one of them.
According to The New York Times, Houston’s team recently inked a deal with Primary Wave Music Publishing, and there are plans to revive the legendary performer’s brand… in a major way.
Reportedly, Primary has been in talks with the family to take a 3D figure of Whitney Houston on tour, release an album of never-before-heard tracks, and produce a Broadway musical.
“Everything is about timing for me,” Pat Houston, the executor of Houston’s estate, told the magazine. “It’s been quite emotional for the past seven years, but now it’s about being strategic.”
The “How Will I Know” superstar’s sister-in-law then went on to discuss the importance of shining light on Houston’s legacy, even after all of the darkness that has surrounded it.
“Before she passed, there was so much negativity around the name; it wasn’t about the music anymore,” she explained. “People had forgotten how great she was. They let all the personal things about her life outweigh why they fell in love with her in the first place.”
Although other deals are also on the table, Pat Houston stood firm in the fact that the hologram is currently the focus.
An outstanding artist, phenomenal actress, and an even greater woman, Whitney Houston was, and still is, the voice.
We are so glad that it continues to be heard, felt, and seen.
