Ladies and gentlemen, get dressed and grab your coins because Savage X Fenty stores are coming to a block near you!
According to the leading lingerie brand’s co-president and chief merchandising and design officer, Christiane Pendarvis, there are exciting plans to open brick-and-mortars around the U.S. within the next year.
“You are actually going to see stores. I can’t tell you when [because] I’d be spoiling the surprise and the build-up. But, yeah, retail, we think, is an important component for us,” Pendarvis told Bloomberg News’ Karen Toulon. “We know that in intimate apparel, specifically, because fit and comfort are so important, there are just customers who don’t feel comfortable purchasing online. And they want to be able to go physically try the product on, touch, feel, [and] make sure they find the right size and the right fit for them.”
Although Pendarvis wasn’t able to give an exact when or where, she did say that we can expect to see grand openings in 2022.
Savage X Fenty stores will initially be exclusive to the states, but there are talks of expansion.
The news comes only weeks after the premiere of the line’s third interactive fashion show, exclusively on Amazon Prime, which featured performances from Jazmine Sullivan, Erykah Badu, and Nas, among others.
As if Savage X Fenty hadn’t already taken the nightwear world by storm, in August, after releasing Valentine’s Day and Pride capsules, the company officially incorporated a men’s collection on their website.
Founded in 2018 by award-winning singer and business tycoon Rihanna, Savage X Fenty is a premier intimate attire “for all genders, sizes, and backgrounds.”
