[WATCH] Tank Brings Back Baby Blue Leather 2-Piece For New Single “I Deserve”
R&B singer Tank is back with a new single… but this time it has a familiar ring to it. The singer came into the industry with his breakout single, “Maybe I Deserve,” back in 2001. Twenty years later he is revisiting it with his new single, “I Deserve”. The singer sampled the original and produced the new version himself. The original version was written and produced by Tank as well. Listen to the Tank I Deserve single below.
Tank also unveiled a visual for the single. In the satirical video he goes back to the baby blue leather 2-piece that was featured in the original video. The visual is directed by Matt Alonzo and features influencers and comedians Adam Waheed and Juhahn Jones.
Tank’s debut album, Force of Nature was recently unveiled on streaming services for the first time thanks to the reemergence of Blackground Records, his first label home. Fans hadn’t been able to hear the project on streaming services and could only hear it if they owned the album. Fortunately it is available now.
Check out the original song, “Maybe I Deserve” below:
Earlier this year Tank released the single, “Can’t Let It Show,” which featured another familiar sample, that time being Maxwell. Wonder if these tracks are from an upcoming themed project.
