Rue Bennett is back! Along with the unpredictable cast of characters we have come to love on HBO Max’s Euphoria. Fans have been waiting for the official season 2 announcement for a couple years now, but we finally have a first look of the explosive season, along with a premiere date. Euphoria season 2 will kick off on Sunday, January 9th.

Fans of the series had been wondering, when does Euphoria return, since the series finale in August 2019. During the height of the pandemic, when it was clear they wouldn’t be able to shoot the full series, Zendaya and the creator/director, Sam Levinson, got together to create 2 specials surrounding the series, “Trouble Don’t Last Always” “Part 1: Rue” and “Fuck Anyone Who’s Not a Sea Blob” “Part 2: Jules”. The specials, released in December 2020 and January 2021 respectively, helped whet the appetite for fans, but this announcement of Euphoria season 2 is what they have really been waiting for.
