Rod Wave choked his girlfriend?! Allegations surrounding the disturbing matter have spread like wildfire, and loyal fans of the praised rapper are just trying to make sense of it all.

According to Tampa Bay Times, the “Cold December” hitmaker, whose real name is Rodarius Marcell Green, is currently facing a felony charge of domestic battery by strangulation.

New details have revealed that the lady he assaulted was the mother of his two children, who were present in the home at the time of the act.

Reportedly, on April 24th, officials responded to 911 calls of a woman in Osceola County, Florida, claiming that Green had become physically aggressive with her.

The unnamed female told deputies that Green, her boyfriend of four years, awakened her from her slumber and accused her of talking to other men. He then grabbed her and kept her in a chokehold until she couldn’t breathe, the arrest affidavit read.

Following the incident, Green left but later returned to do some slight damage to the home. He is said to have kicked over some storage shelves and tossed photos from the wall to the ground.

The victim didn’t receive any medical help but did have a mark on her neck.

Green has since been taken into St. Petersburg custody and released on a $5,000 bail. He pled not guilty.

Earlier this morning, he took to his Instagram account to share a snippet of a new song that seemingly fit the situation, stating that he made some mistakes. He also announced that his forthcoming album would come out on June 10th.
