The latest Verzuz battle was for Latin Music! Two of the biggest names of that last couple of decades plus, DJ Nelson vs Luny Tunes.
DJ Nelson is a Puerto Rican bred producer, who has been in the industry for more than 28 years. Some of his productions include “La Curiosidad” (Jay Wheeler featuring Myke Towers), “Me Enamore” (Jay Wheeler), “Chica Virtual” (Arcangel), and “Mi Gatita y Yo” (Daddy Yankee), among many others.
Luny Tunes is actually a duo, comprised of 2 Dominican Reggaeton producers (from Massachusetts) – Francisco Saldaña (Luny) and Víctor Cabrera (Tunes), that have been in the music industry for more than 21 years. Some of their productions include: “The Last Don” (Don Omar), “Barrio Fino” (Daddy Yankee), “Prestige” (Daddy Yankee), “Dangerous” (Yandel), and
“Legendary” (Daddy Yankee), etc.
The Verzuz is set to feature only Luny, judging by the promotion materials, but it remains to be seen how that affects which songs are played.
