Prime Video is doubling down on live music! Last month the streaming platform premiered the Kendrick Lamar Big Steppers Tour livestream and then also launched Amazon Music Live, hosted by Grammy-winning Hip-Hop icon 2 Chainz. Now, most recently, Prime Video is set to premiere the Steve Lacy tour livestream from his Los Angeles show.
The Steve Lacy tour livestream will be a special hometown show from The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles featuring his opener Fousheé. Fans can tune in at 8 p.m. PDT on November 11 via the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, the Amazon Music mobile app, and on Prime Video globally.
The 24 year old singer, songwriter, Lacy began his career as the guitarist for the group, The Internet, fronted by Syd. He released his solo debut album, Apollo XXI in 2019, which earned him a Grammy nomination. His sophomore album, Gemini Rights, featured the viral TikTok hit, “Bad Habits,” and the album peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Charts. He’s nominated for four awards at this years Soul Train Music Awards. The Los Angeles show will be the last on his Give You The World Tour.
Fousheé is a constant collaborator of Lacy, having co-write the hit single, “Bad Habits.” She also appears on his single, “Sunshine,” which she also co-wrote. Her new album, softCORE, is set to be released on November 18th via RCA Records, with the first single “supernova.”
