Back in January 2021, Nicole Brito launched her brand as a means of self-therapy. Mixing her joy for thrift shopping, and stylish fashion with her experience in retail and sales, she launched Thrifted Soul Sista. Didn’t take long for her to realize that many other women shared her passion for thrift shopping and stylish fashion, but simply lacked the time to bounce from thrift store to thrift store on their own. Thus, her newfound business quickly grew on Instagram, shared by friends and peers, and women who were just looking for a good sale.
Not long after her start–about a week actually–the Thrifted Soul Sista was pushed to focusing on her new business full-time, after losing her job due to some bizarre unforeseen circumstances.
Over a year later the brand is thriving, with a few thousand followers and regular customers who check into her weekly sales, which take place on Wednesdays and Fridays.
These days there’s more to the brand than just fashion. She’s tied in her love and somewhat hidden talent for singing for Monday performances of classic R&B songs. It all started with a remake of Muni Long’s “Hrs and Hrs” that went viral, but has blossomed into effortless classics every Monday.

Additionally, of late, she’s turned to humor as well, with her self-proclaimed “corny jokes”. A welcome interruption on the timeline. Still, she jokes on each one, “don’t block me!”

The added antics are very much welcome, but at the end of the day, the Thrifted Soul Sista is all about stylish fashion for a cheap price. Whether it’s a low price “Tel-feezy” aka Telfar bag, a vintage bag or some boots Mary J. was kill for, you never know what’s going to be on sale and available for grabs.
