For 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, the Yellowstone world travels to Texas and the late 19th century.
The limited series will tell the tale of Bass Reeves, the first Black U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi, and is a spin-off of Yellowstone’s Wild West prologue 1883. It’s reasonable to believe that this series will have no shortage of off-the-wall things to tell because Reeves was a renowned figure who is said to have caught more than 3,000 criminals and murdered 14 people in self-defense.
Bass Reeves, the US Marshal, will be portrayed by David Oyelowo. The 2014 movie Selma featured the British actor in the role of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Sherrill Lynn, a deputy U.S. marshal, will be played by Dennis Quaid.

We probably won’t get the precise publication date for 1883: The Bass Reeves Story for a time. According to the development schedule, a premiere is anticipated for late 2023 or potentially early 2024.
In Texas, the series started shooting in October 2022. The miniseries will consist of six episodes, as told by Oyelowo. Sheridan will helm the first two episodes, according to Deadline.
