French Montana has released a first look at his forthcoming documentary, For Khadija.
We all know the name and the music, but we still want to know the story behind Montana and how he became who he is today.
The recent trailer of For Khadija, which is executive produced by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham, offers a sneak peek at the life of Montana coming from Africa to the States, as he talks about his struggles as an immigrant whose road to success was filled with many obstacles.
Additionally, the famed rapper details his inability to go to college or obtain the life that he desperately wanted.
His mother, Khadija (which is who the film is dedicated to), worked three jobs, and Montana states in the clip, “I walked in on my mother crying and praying. You don’t want to see your mother like that, so I had to do what I had to do.”

Whether it was to be in the streets or rapping, he went out and found money the only way he knew how. He speaks on the come up and the grind it took to become the ICON he is today.
Viewers of the powerful, heart-filling production can expect an in-depth journey into the story of Montana from being with fellow lyricist Max B to the horrific feeling of learning his brother was shot and sacrificing everything to give his family what they deserve.
Executive producers Drake and Diddy, as well as Fat Joe and Max B, are all seen in the documentary as well.
For Khadija is said to be premiered on June 16, 2023, at the Tribeca Film Festival.
