Rihanna’s the most-followed woman on Twitter? Indeed, she is!
Under the leadership of billionaire tycoon Elon Musk, Twitter may be going through a lot of changes, but fellow billionaire Miss Fenty is still attracting a sizable following.
According to Billboard, pop sensation Katy Perry was recently eclipsed by Rih Rih to become the most followed female on Twitter. At the time of publication, Rihanna had 108,278,326 followers while Perry had 108,258,344.
The person with the most followers on Twitter is Elon Musk. Tesla and SpaceX’s South African-born CEO currently has 134,470,177 followers. With 132,924,210 followers, former American president Barack Obama is in second place.
With 113,153,027 followers, Justin Bieber is currently ahead of Rihanna in third position. The Top 10 also includes Ariana Grande (85,268,269), Taylor Swift (92,581,835), and Cristiano Ronaldo (108,252,553).
Rihanna’s the Most-Followed Woman on Twitter — Who’d She Pass?
It’s possible that Rihanna’s high-profile, televised performances in 2023 had something to do with the expansion of her social media presence.
In February, she was the star of Apple Music’s Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. She sang singles from the top of the charts like “Work,” “Umbrella,” and “We Found Love” during her set.
Weeks later, Rihanna performed “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on stage at the 95th Academy Awards.

The co-writers of “Lift Me Up,” Ryan Coogler, Tems, and Ludwig Göransson, along with the Barbadian recording artist, were all nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song.
As far as Instagram goes, Rihanna is the 17th most-followed woman with an astounding 147 million followers.
Selena Gomez is the most-followed woman on Instagram with 410 million followers. The second most-followed woman on the platform is Kylie Jenner with 386 million followers. Following Jenner is Ariana Grande with 362 million followers. The fourth most-followed woman on Instagram is Kim Kardashian (350 million followers) and coming in at no. 5 is Beyoncé (302 million followers).
