Kodak Black sobriety has him shining!

Kodak has been through a whirlwind of trouble in the last few years due to his addiction. He has been arrested for possession, tampering with evidence and much more surrounding drugs. Though the decision of being sober came after the birth of his newest baby boy — from his current girlfriend Maranda Johnson — he is taking this journey serious.

In July of 2022, Kodak was arrested for possession of oxycodone along with trafficking. The police reports stated that Kodak’s windows looked more tinted than they should have been. But when Kodak proceeded to roll his windows down, officers smelled an abundance of weed from the vehicle and proceeded to search his vehicle. They found 31 pills of oxycodone and over $74,000 in cash. In 2023, he was arrested in Plantation, Florida for possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence. But was later dismissed for these charges.

Since Kodak has been signed he has been dealing with legal battles throughout his career.

Now, it seems as though Kodak is willing to change his ways and turn over a new leaf.

Kodak Black is Taking Sobriety Seriously

During a live with his fans, he stated that ever since he stopped consuming Percocet’s he has been in a better place. In the live he stated, “I’ve never been this happy in my life bro. I haven’t taken a perc since I’ve been home. My dosage is so slow that I can’t believe it myself. Man I’m telling ya’ll bro. This my testimony bro, I ain’t no shame in my sh*t bro.”

As he continues his journey of sobriety, Kodak mentions to fans that he will also no longer be performing his hit “Super Gremlin.” In the live he tells fans that for the most part he is sober and he hates that song. “I’m about to stop performing ‘Super Gremlin’ period,” he continues, “I hate that little sh*t. I’m sober for the most part and I say this like, around my people so they know…that this is serious. I could talk about it now.”

He encourages other substance abusers to quit as well. “That’s motivation for ya’ll ni**as. to know that if the Gremlin can do it, ya’ll can do it too.”

Now that Kodak is focusing on his sobriety many people have noticed that he is starting to look a lot better. Kodak celebrates his sobriety and continues to show strength in remaining sober. He still encourages others to do the same.
