Less than a couple weeks after Kendrick Lamar dropped his surprise album, GNX, he revealed a new surprise! The announcement is a North American stadium tour set for 2025 with former labelmate, SZA. The Kendrick Lamar and SZA Grand National tour pairs the two on the road for the first time, bringing together arguably the biggest rapper in world right now, with arguably the biggest R&B/Soul singers in the world right now, for the closest thing to a best of both worlds type of tour than we’ve had in a long time.
The two artists were both signed to Top Dawg Records, but Kendrick is technically under his own label pgLang now, licensed through Interscope Records. SZA is distributed through RCA Records.
Kendrick’s GNX album went on to debut number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, which wasn’t much of a shock to fans, considering the amazing year the rapper has had. The album sold 319,000 units with 7 of the songs on the album appearing on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. The tour announcement comes on the heels of the album success. SZA appears on the GNX album on “Luther,” which as of this writing is sitting at #3 on Billboard Hot 100 song chart.
With January 2025 being not too far away, Kendrick tickets go on sale Friday, December 6th at 10 a.m. EST time.
The Kendrick Lamar and SZA Grand National Tour will be performed at as many as 18 stadiums across the U.S. between April and June 2025. There is also a stop in Toronto…
The first show is set for April 19th at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. By June 18 the tour will have its final show at Northwest Stadium in Washington, D.C.
