Oh Right, they were on Bad Boy
This set of artists you probably forgot all about and we can’t really blame you. But got to mention them…

Yung Joc:
Joc released 2 albums on Bad Boy in Puff’s Bad Boy South days. “It’s Going Down” was his biggest single, but he never really matriculated into a blockbuster artist.  His debut New Joc City didn’t do any great numbers and things got sour after the follow-up. Plus he went on to sue Puff.  Though they have since patched things up,  he won’t be making any guest appearances any time soon… unless Puff finds some kindness in his heart in Atlanta.

Where is he now:
I must say, Joc was always an incredible business man with smarts to boot. He parlayed a label deal with Jive in 2009 and made some money there. And once that dried up he bounced back with a leading role on Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta, which he’s been on since 2014. No new music, but he’s still cashing checks.

Boyz N Da Hood

Can’t talk Bad Boy South without these guys. Another two album look, these guys really just get credit for making Young Jeezy a household name. Puff probably still mad Jeezy released his solo projects with Def Jam.

Where are they now:
You were never able to name anyone but Jeezy and he left after the first album so let’s not act like you care now!

Gorilla Zoe:

He replaced Jeezy on Boyz N Da Hood’s second album and released (you guessed it) 2 albums! He had potential, but he wasn’t anyone Puff would lose any sleep over.

Where is he now:
Zoe dropped his last mixtape, Recovery in 2014. He also signed to Flo Rida’s label, but that hasn’t produced any new music for him.

B5:

Nope, I won’t let Puff forget about this either! Seeing the success that was B2K, Puff decided to give a shot to the Breeding brothers.  I shouldn’t even have to tell you how many albums they dropped  ( Two, 2, TWO! Everyone gets 2!) B5 never saw the commercial of the boy bands and puberty wasn’t kind to all of them.

Where Are They Now:
They reemerged in 2013 with a couple new singles but no one seemed to notice. They’ve since disappeared yet again.

Cheri Dennis:

Before Cassie, there was Cheri. And in a post Faith world Cheri was actually a budding Bad Boy artist from ’99 being groomed for the spotlight and working on her craft behind the scenes with help from many of Bad Boy’s biggest names. Her debut album, In and Out of Love via Bad Boy wasn’t released until 2008. She paid her dues writing several songs and appearing on multiple hooks but she never really made a name for herself.  And her single, “I Love You” was a disappointment.

Where Is She Now:

Cheri goes by Cheri Coke now. She teamed up with producer Melo X in 2012 to release an EP titled X/Coke. She’s been relatively quiet since.
