Nas & DJ Shadow “Systematic” Premiered On Zane Lowe’s Radio Show

After 10 albums and a couple collaborative projects, Nas is still relevant in the hip-hop game. So much so that he’s still dropping new music here and there. This week, he’s teamed up with DJ Shadow to give us the raw and energetic track “Systematic.”

The song premiered earlier today on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio. Apparently DJ Shadow emailed it to Zane while on air, commenting, “Got that fire for you as promised.”

No word yet if “Systematic” will be on Nas’ upcoming project or not. However, it is the lead track from the soundtrack to the HBO show Silicon Valley, which debuts its fourth season this Sunday, April 23rd.

What else has Nas been up to these last few years? We know that he’s served as an executive producer on Netflix’s The Get Down and and even the upcoming BET series Street Dreams, which is based on his life.

In addition, Nas has confirmed that he is currently in the studio working on a new album. “Not yet, not till release,” he said in an interview with Billboard when asked if the project was complete. The rapper said that fans should expect it to drop before the year is out, with no official release date as of right now.
