Fetty Wap Surprises Fans With Lucky No. 7 Mixtape

Less than a month after dropping the first single, “AYE”, from his forthcoming sophomore album, King Zoo, Fetty Wap has come back with even more heat. The Jersey-born rapper brought his twenty-sixth birthday in by surprising his fans with a brand new mixtape, titled Lucky No. 7. Let’s just say, the fans definitely got ‘lucky’ this time around. Fetty Wap’s Lucky No. 7 mixtape is certainly a must listen.

The seven-track mixtape–produced by Glenn Thomas, Nick E Beats, and Boogey Beatz, among others, debuted to the world on Wednesday, June 7th, and is already the main topic of discussion on the music scene. As suggested by the title, the Lucky No. 7 mixtape serves as Fetty’s seventh mixtape and follows the success of Zoovier–released last November.

However, though Lucky No. 7 is sure to hold the fans over, for now, many are still highly anticipating Fetty’s long-awaited King Zoo album–which is scheduled for later this year. The twenty-six-year-old plans to go in a slightly different direction with this album, describing it as a ‘love story’.

“This album is more like a love story album,” Fetty explained in an interview with Billboard. “That’s what people know me for; I make a lot of songs for the females. A lot of stuff that I be going through, I just put it in my music. It’s gonna be some good songs, and there’s gonna be some different songs. It’s all the Fetty Wap sound.”

We don’t know an official date for King Zoo just yet, but Mr. 1738 has wasted no time building the momentum up. After collaborating with Nicki Minaj on the hit 2016 reggae-themed song, “Like A Star”–which is said to be featured on King Zoo, Fetty recently revealed that he also teamed up with singer Jhené Aiko for this album.

In January, he dropped “Way You Are” featuring his longtime friend and former group member, Monty (Remy Boyz). That, too, is said to be on King Zoo as well.
