Rapper Eminem Releasing New Full-Length Project, Revival In December
Slim Shady, better known as the Detroit chart-topping rapper, Eminem, just may be dropping some new music this November. In fact, a whole new album. A couple months ago HITS Daily Double announced that Eminem is expected to release his ninth project before the year was out via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope.
Now we know for sure that the album will be out on December 15th. The new album also has a title: REVIVAL. The new album will be the “Not Afraid” rhymer’s first full-length project since 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which served as a follow-up to The Marshall Mathers LP, released in 2000.
Though it’s been a good four years since we last heard an Em album, don’t sleep on the fact that he’s still being heard elsewhere. The 44-year-old recorded a track with 2 Chainz, over the summer, which is said to be on the forthcoming project, as well. He’s also set to appear on Pink’s “Revenge”, featured on her latest album, Beautiful Trauma.
Last year, Em made a quick resurgence, giving the fans ‘something to hold them over’, with an eight-minute campaign freestyle speech track, spitting facts on everything and everyone from Donald Trump and George Zimmerman to victims of police brutality, Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner.
At the BET Awards this year Eminem made headlines for his freestyle taking shots at Donald Trump.
Last month Eminem released the lead single from Revival, “Walk On Water” which features Beyonce.
The official album release date was revealed by Dr. Dre on his instagram account in a video post. Watch it below:
Get ready, Eminem fans, after a long wait, we are getting that new album on December 15th.
