OWN Set To Air Two-Night Premiere Of Greenleaf Season 3
Get ready to mark your calendars because Greenleaf is gearing to return to OWN again for a two-night premiere airing on Tuesday, August 28th and Wednesday, August 29th at 10:00 PM. Greenleaf Season 3 will have multi-Grammy Award-winning recording artist, actress, and entrepreneur Patti LaBelle guest star for a recurring role as Maxine Patterson who is a famous Christian motivational speaker and the CEO of a global Christian self-help empire.
The American television drama series will also feature guest stars such as multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, and Grammy Award-winning actor Beau Bridges who plays Bob Whitmore, six-time New York Times’ best-selling author, acclaimed spiritual life coach and star of OWN’s popular “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” Iylana Vanzant who portrays herself helping Charity who is played by Actress and singer Deborah Joy Winans.
In the last season, all hell was set to break loose in the Greenleaf household when disturbing news of Bishops infidelities with Lady Mae’s sister Mavis (played by Oprah), and reverberations from his current dalliance with Rochelle Cross come to the light. On Greenleaf season 3, this creates friction between Lady Mae and Bishop which sends them to a war zone that can ultimately end with them divorcing if the grace of God doesn’t save them. In spite of the friction in their marriage, Lady Mae seeks out an old friend, Maxine Patterson in attempt to reclaim her forsaken call to preach.
Attempting to avoid making the same mistake Lady Mae and Bishop have made, Jacob and Kerissa work on building their own evangelical empire as they manage to parent their teenage daughter Zora. Unfortunately, old habits can die hard and sins delve deep making their mission a struggle.
This season we can also expect to see Darius struggling in his increasingly strained relationship with Grace who is working to keep an abused woman from death row for the crime of defending her own life. Charity also struggles to make peace with Kevin and find her place in the world.
