From the mind of writer, director and producer Tyler Perry is a new series on BET, Sistas. The show is about single Black women, all from different walks of life who share a common thread. Just what do they all have in common? The fact that each of them are trying to grasp why they are single. Given each of their collective status’, they attempt to balance careers and friendships through everyday life challenges, unrealistic relationship goals and lets not forget, social media. Tyler Perry’s Sistas on BET premiered on Wednesday October 23rd along with his other new show, ‘The Oval‘.

Serving as co-producers of Sistas on BET alongside Perry as is the case with The Oval are Michelle Sneed and Mark E. Swinton.
At the end of the day, life is all about finding yourself and what it is that makes you happy. One of the stars of Sistas seemed to allude to that during a recent discussion with BET.
“Sistas is about four young melanated queens doing this thing in the world,” said Brown, who stars as Sabrina Hollins. “They’re professionals, they’re business owners, but they’re also women who are seeking happiness within themselves and having that inner sister circle.”
