If you’ve been seeing someone for a while and you’re beginning to think of them as more than just a casual hookup, it might be time to have the conversation about being exclusive. These are some ways to get the conversation started.

It’s good to be honest about how you feel. If you’ve been spending so much time with someone and you think they might be “the one” or your best friend, be honest about how you feel and tell them that there’s a possibility that this relationship could eventually turn into something more serious.

If they’re not feeling the same way, don’t take it personally! It happens to everyone – even if your intentions were sincere, sometimes people just aren’t interested in a serious relationship with anyone at the moment.

Stay on Track with Your Relationship

There’s nothing wrong with saying that you’re not interested in being exclusive but avoid using clichés like “I just want a casual relationship”.

You don’t want to minimize the commitment that you’re making if a person is trying to decide whether or not they really want to be in an exclusive relationship with you.

Here are a few ways that you can invest in your relationship and take it further.

Accept Each Other’s Differences

If you’re dating someone of a different race, religion, or culture, respect those differences, and respect the more subtle differences between the two of you too.

Don’t think that you can change your partner or that they need to change because they’re not “the same.” If you want the relationship to work, you’ll need to accept each other’s differences.

Take Intimacy At The Right Pace For Both Of You

When it comes to the bedroom, take things at your own pace. Let your partner know that you’re ready for sex when they are, and you are looking forwards to enjoying some physical time with them.

Talk to your partner about what kind of things they like in the bedroom too.

You never know; they might have an amazing toy collection from Wetforher.com that you will LOVE sharing with them!

Be Fair with Communication and Honesty

If you’re dating, it’s important to be able to communicate openly. You might think that you’re being open, but in reality, your partner is hearing something completely different than what you said.

Sit down together and talk about the way you communicate with each other. Make sure that when one person talks about an issue, the other person knows that they are being heard by truly listening to them and not talking over them or interrupting them.

Let Things Come When They’re Ready

If you’re seeing someone, it’s important to realize that you don’t always have to be the one who initiates things or takes the lead. You don’t want to come off as needy, but you also don’t want to appear apathetic.

You might be letting your partner know that they can initiate something with you, but if they never do, you need to let them know that you value their time and space too.
