Lizzo talks about her relationship with The Breakfast Club.

During a recent interview on the popular radio show, the “About D*mn Time” singer opened up about her new-to-us romance with designer Myke Wright.

And… in doing so, she shared her thoughts on making things “official” and her fear of traditional commitments.

When asked if she could see herself with Wright for (at least) ten years, Lizzo responded:

“Wooooo!” she comically expressed. “Maybe.”

Back in June, after much speculation, Lizzo went “social media” public with Wright while attending The FYC Event for her Prime Video show, Watch Out For The Big Grrrls.

Further into the conversation with hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne tha God, and Angela Yee, the 34-year-old described the recent unveiling of her boo-thang as a “soft launch.”

Following Charlamagne’s mention of the two now being “Instagram official,” she added with laughs: “Well, I ain’t tag him in nothing. This was a soft launch! I have to respect his privacy.”

Later in the clip, she revisited the topic of a ten-year relationship with Wright, making it known that rules aren’t necessarily his or her thing.

“I think a traditional, like, relationship scares me… for ten years, but love is forever. I can love somebody forever,” Lizzo explained.

She continued by breaking down what ‘non-traditional/traditional’ relationships look like for her.

“It’s like, monogamy, I think, to me, is a little claustrophobic. I think because there’s the rules. I think a love relationship, that’s not monogamous, has no rules. and I think people who do poly and all that stuff there are still rules. It’s like, ‘Well, you can see this person, but you can’t see this person. I don’t want any rules, but that doesn’t mean I’m out here fcking and scking and ducking–you know what I’m saying?”

Although the chart-topping entertainer still seems to be nervous about the idea of the skreets knowing who holds the boyfriend title, it’s no secret that love is definitely in the air!

We love to see it.
