Demetrius Flenory Jr. better known as “Lil Meech” has just been exonerated of a felony gun charge and 50 Cent couldn’t be happier. Initially, the “I’m The Man” rapper poked fun at the serious situation; though after the news was released surrounding the gun charge being tossed out, 50 hopped on Instagram and posted a screenshot of a TMZ article, and avowed that it was time for the “BMF” star to jump back in the mix. “Ok that’s out the way, now let’s go!” he captioned the post.

Lil Meech used Fif‘s post as a chance to demonstrate his admiration for the television mogul, replying, “Your loyalty is unmatched. I love you and i thank u for everything.” The Broward County State Attorney elected to do away with its primary felony charge of “introducing a firearm into the sterile area of the airport” against Flenory Jr.. The “BMF” actor was placed in custody on December 13, 2022 at the Fort Lauderdale Airport after TSA agents unearthed a gun in his carry-on bag. However, it came to light that the carry-on luggage and 9MM handgun inside of it belonged to Flenory Jr.‘s bodyguard.

At the time of the arrest, Lil Meech‘s bodyguard confessed the firearm was his, however, police reportedly disregarded him. Meech was smacked with a felony gun charge soon after. Bradford Cohen, Flenory Jr.‘s lawyer, proved the firearm did not belong to the “BMF” actor by showing prosecutors a license to carry, a gun case, and a purchase receipt. Cohen also argued that Meech and his personal security owned alike carry-on bags and, at the airport, Flenory Jr. grabbed his bodyguard’s luggage by accident presuming it was his own.

As a result of the statements made by Meech‘s bodyguard and Cohen, along with the evidence presented, prosecutors in Broward County have chosen also not to advance a prospective misdemeanor charge against Flenory Jr.. With “BMF” receiving the greenlight earlier this week for a Season 3, Lil Meech and 50 Cent have plenty of work to keep them busy over the next several months. Congrats to Meech for beating his gun charge for the sake of a noteworthy series.
