Rapper DDG addresses conspiracies on his successful rise to fame. As DDG continues to expand his reach and climb the ladder of success from his early days as a YouTuber to achieving platinum plaques as a rapper, he is facing an increasing number of naysayers trying to undermine his growing popularity.
Recently, DDG was accused of selling his soul – a conspiratorial jab that many successful black entertainers have been forced to defend against. The rapper received a direct message from someone claiming to be a follower of Christ, urging him to turn away from “devil-worshipping industry plants.”
The dm read: “DDG why did u sell ur soul bro, I’m a follower of Christ don’t say u didn’t I know. My brother it is never too late to come to Jesus, […] Your eternal life is much more important than anything in this fallen world…. And if you dont know Jesus when u die u are going to be burning forever just like the rest of those devel worshipping industry plants.”
DDG was quick to refute the accusation. He shared a screenshot of the message and wrote, “I promise y’all I did not ‘sell my soul’ it’s 2023. Just because n***as got money don’t mean they worship the devil or whatever conspiracies y’all be running with.”
Despite the baseless accusations, DDG continues to thrive in his career as one of the few YouTubers to successfully transition into the music industry. With a platinum plaque and co-signs from big names like Kevin Gates and Polo G, DDG is proving that hard work and talent can take you to the top.
