On Wednesday, Ata Johnson (mother of Dwayne Johnson) was involved in a car wreck and the former WWE heavyweight champion expressed extreme gratitude that she survived. On Thursday, via Instagram The Rock posted a pic of his mom’s almost-destroyed Cadillac SUV after she rode through Los Angeles and got into a car accident. The “Black Adam” star said in his post: “Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night. She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated. This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted suicide. She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real.”
Dwayne Johnson gave praises to the Los Angeles Fire Department and the LAPD for being “focused and caring” regarding his mom’s car wreck, in addition to “staying on phone” and chatting with him through the event. The “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” actor finalized his post of thankfulness by sharing a jewel for individuals who’s mom and dad are still alive following the passing of his own father in 2020 resulting from cardiac arrest. He wrote: “If you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ‘em hard. You never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get.”

The Rock made headlines in the summer of 2022 after he disclosed the new “dream” house he purchased his mom and shared a heartfelt video of her crying. He captioned the emotional video: “When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry. These days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy. I surprised my mom and bought her a new home. Took me and my design team 8 weeks to get it ready … everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise.”
As she roamed through the common area of her “dream” abode, Ata Johnson expressed feelings of sheer joy and amazement. Dwayne Johnson wrote at the time: “Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy ~ welcome home.” Wonderful his mom survived the car wreck, for it appears the two have a very special bond and tremendous love for one another.
