The Equalizer 3 trailer just dropped — and it looks super duper official!
The Italian mafia is the target of Denzel Washington’s fight in the newest, action-filled trailer for The Equalizer 3.
The Equalizer 3 pursues retired intelligence officer turned avenger Robert McCall (Washington) to Italy, where he’s established a new life, in the three-minute teaser, which serves as the final installment of the adored movie series.
But when a group of gangsters threatens his newfound family, Robert steps in to defend them, using his impressive fighting abilities to take out the mafia one by one.
The Equalizer (2014) and its 2018 sequel starred the Academy Award winner as the calculating McCall, who has a talent for defending the weak. The Antoine Fuqua-directed crime thriller film series is partially based on the same-named ’80s TV program.

[FIRST LOOK] The Equalizer 3 Trailer Has Fans Anxiously Waiting
Along with Dakota Fanning, who joined the action series for the third movie, The Equalizer 3 brings the 68-year-old actor back together with his former Man on Fire co-star.
In Man on Fire, Washington portrayed John Creasy, a former CIA agent turned bodyguard who finds himself on a horrific mission to rescue a young girl who has been abducted. At the time, 9-year-old Fanning played the role of the kidnapped girl.
In a June Instagram Story, Fanning expressed her joy about seeing Washington again, according to People.
Sharing the casting news, Fanning wrote at the time, “My gratitude to share the screen once again with the legend of all legends is endless. Can’t wait.”
The Equalizer 3 also stars Remo Girone, Sonia Ben Ammar, Eugenio Mastrandrea, Andrea Dodero, and Andrea Scarduzio in addition to Washington and Fanning.
September 1, 2023 marks the global release of The Equalizer 3.
