TI tested out his stand up comedy skills in front of a live crowd in the past, however, the reception wasn’t great — though, is he going to try again on Comic View?

The “ATL” actor encountered a hostile reaction from a live audience on April 9, 2022. There are rumors that during Tip’s performance at the April Fools Comedy Jam, the audience at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center booed him.

Now, T.I. will take part in a Kevin Hart-produced revival of the venerable comic series Comic View, according to Yahoo! Entertainment.

Comic View, which ran from 1992 until 2008 on BET, immediately grew into a pop culture staple.

The program gave upcoming African American comedians a stage on which to display their skills and engage with a larger audience. Many now-famous comedians’ careers were greatly aided by it, including that of D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, and Steve Harvey.

T.I. Will Soon Face The ‘Comic View’ Crowd

“I’m thrilled to partner with BET for the return of ‘Comic View’ as part of Hartbeat Weekend making this can’t-miss celebration of comedy, music and culture. Having hosted ‘Comic View’ in the past, I understand first-hand the incredible platform this franchise offers for comedians to showcase their talents on a national stage and I’m excited to continue that tradition in Las Vegas,” said Hart recently in a statement.

The revival, which is being hosted by Mike Epps, will also include appearances from Tommy Davidson, D.C. Young Fly, Bresha Webb, Tony T. Roberts, Tacarra Williams, and T.I., among many others.

As part of a four-day Hartbeat weekend celebration in Las Vegas honoring Hart’s 44th birthday from July 6 to 9, Hart’s entertainment handle will produce the comedy series.

Ludacris, J. Cole, PartyNextDoor, Kaskade, and Jack Harlow will all perform live musically as part of a broader roster that also includes the Comic View presentation. The “Paper Soldiers” actor will also perform at the conclusion of the evening.
