The latest 112 vs Jagged Edge Verzuz Battle pits two of the most popular male R&B groups of the last couple of decades against each other.

We previewed the battle here for details on each group and a break down of their history. You can also listen to their latest singles.

112, as currently constituted, is composed of Slim & Mike, half of the original quartet. It’s hard to talk about 112 currently without talking about what’s going on with their members.  Q Parker and Daron Jones, the other half of the original group are currently suing the other half over finances and the use of the name 112, which Slim and Mike claim to own.

Before the latest break-up, and over the course of their career, which spans about 25 years, 112 released 6 albums.  As the first R&B group signed to Bad Boy Records and the only male singers on the label for a few years, they have countless songs with most of the Bad Boy roster, including several classics with The Notorious B.I.G. and Sean Combs.

Jagged Edge, is another legendary quartet from Atlanta, which consists of twin brothers Brandon and Brian Casey, Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman.  Founded by Kandi Burruss of Xscape, the group was signed by Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def imprint.

Since the aforementioned debut album, Jagged Edge has released 9 albums.  Their 10th album, A Jagged Love Story was announced last year and was supposed to be released, but despite two singles, the album release date is still unknown.

Round 3: Jagged Edge – “Wednesday Lover” vs. 112 – “Now That We’re Done”

In a battle of old album cuts…

Winner: 112
“Now That We’re Done”

Round 4: Jagged Edge “Promise” vs. 112 – “You Already Know (Remix) featuring Foxy Brown

I had completely forgot Foxy Brown was on this remix…

Winner: Jagged Edge
“Promise”

Round 5: Jagged Edge – “I Gotta Be” vs. 112 – “Anywhere”

Not a fair song from 112 here.  That’s a bedroom song to a cool slow jam!

Winner: 112
“Anywhere”

Round 6: Jagged Edge – “Walked Right Outta Heaven” vs. 112 – “Cupid”

Winner: 112
“Cupid”

Round 7: Jagged Edge – “Goodbye” vs. 112 – “Player”

Round 8: Jagged Edge – “Remedy” vs. Mobb Deep featuring 112 – “Hey Luv”

I love this Mobb Deep record, but its only a hook from 112.  I got to go with this Jagged Edge Ballad in this situation.  112 played this song too early.

Winner: Jagged Edge
“Remedy”

Round 9: The Notorious B.I.G. featuring Jagged Edge, Nelly & Avery Storm – “Nasty Girl” vs. The Notorious B.I.G. featuring 112 – “Sky’s The Limit”
